Radon Testing

Radon Testing

Radon is a colorless, tasteless and odorless radioactive gas present in the soil. It is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States today. All houses have some radon but the EPA has determined that a level of 4 Picocuries per liter (4pCi/L) or higher constitutes a health hazard and should be remediated.

Testing is the only way of knowing if a significant level of radon gas exists in a house. Radon should be tested every two years, even in houses that have active remediation, since the radon levels can change over time.

All Star Home Inspection can set up the radon test at the time of the home inspection. If this is something we can help you with, be sure to ask for it at the time you schedule your inspection.
